Testudo horsfieldii typically grows up to five inches in total shell length, with adults averaging four to five inches in shell length.
They can survive for 40-50+ years in captivity with the right care. They originate from Eastern Europe, including Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of Iran. To maintain good health, this smaller species requires a diet of vitamin-dusted leafy greens and specialized tortoise food. An indoor enclosure is a suitable habitat for them.
