- Size: A true dwarf species, females typically reach a maximum leg span of 3 to 3.5 inches while males are smaller at roughly 2 inches.
- Lifespan: Females can live between 7 to 10 years, whereas males have a short lifespan of roughly 1.5 to 2.5 years.
- Temperament: Generally skittish and very fast rather than aggressive. They lack urticating hairs but will readily flee or occasionally bluff a threat posture if disturbed
