- These Baby Argentine Black & White Tegus love the wetlands and any area that is humid and hot. This is the largest Tegu species. They have mesmerizing colors as hatchlings that consist of a vibrant green that has shark black and white lines from head to tail. This green coloration will become washed out after about 1 month. This is one of the most brilliant reptiles out there, and they need a dedicated and experienced owner. These Tegus are very easy to tame and are extremely loyal.
